A response to the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s messianism

There is no prohibition in this. It is just stupidity. Perhaps according to Maimonides, all the prohibitions of “You shall be innocent” or “You shall not guess” and “You shall not be punished” etc. are prohibitions against stupidity – there is also a prohibition in this. It seems to me that the Chabadniks’ prohibition of the Rebbe while he was alive was much closer to idolatry than their attitude towards him after he died.
