This is the second time someone has brought up this stupid nonsense here. I don’t understand why I have to pay attention to every utterance of this or that idiot.
If the Haredim want to prepare the army in accordance with their values, let them do so. They have been in the government for a long time. They don’t want to and don’t do anything about it, and expect that everything will be done for them, when even if they did, they wouldn’t enlist. It’s like the Arabs who only complain that everyone is to blame except them. And even if they don’t prepare the army, there’s a “Pikon” here. They also don’t go to work when there’s economic hardship? Since when does this or that danger to someone or something exempt us from saving lives? The fact that they are weak and provide a rotten education that doesn’t stand up to challenges and are afraid of their own shadow exempts them from fighting? Where did this stupidity come from?
“Those who miss more than those who kill” is a nice saying, but it is not relevant here. You can see a review of this broken rule here: https://forum.otzar.org/viewtopic.php?t=47494
Ask yourself (and them): If their lives were truly in danger, wouldn’t they have fought when there was a fear of spiritual decline among some of them?
I’m really tired of these stupid discussions. I wrote my opinion on these idiotic arguments in columns 609 and 649.
