‘A force that acts in action’ – ‘fills every space’ – ?

שו”ת‘A force that acts in action’ – ‘fills every space’ – ?
asked 6 years ago

Rabbi Sharnam. In several books of research and thought I find the expression ‘power acting in action’ next to the term ‘filling all the world.’ Can the Rebbe perhaps explain these things to me in simple Hebrew?
Through what philosophical proof (ontological, psycho-theological, cosmological, etc.) can one reach the conclusion of ‘the all-pervading force’ and ‘the power that acts in the non-pervading force’? And what exactly does this mean?
Thanks in advance.

These are expressions that seem to be taken from ancient philosophy that I have not dealt with (they always seem to me to have a vague meaning and don’t say much). But a brief search shows that it is taken from Hasidic literature (mainly Chabad). I assume that the meaning of the expression is that the power of the verb is in the verb (man denfah from diliyyah nefah, mehzohar), and perhaps the entire verb is the power of the verb. If so, then the foundation of this concept is in the infinity of the Godhead, from which it is impossible for anything to exist and act outside of it. You can search the Internet if you are interested in more details.

By virtue of what philosophical or theological argument can one reach the conclusion that nothing exists outside of it?

I checked the Internet a little, and if I understood it, it is by virtue of the principle of causality. That because everything is supposed to have a cause, and because it is ‘there is from nothing’. Therefore, creation must be constantly renewed. This means that the Creator animates His creation at every moment. Not that there is no creation, but that it needs constant renewal. “The word of ’ is in the creation and animates it”

Do you accept it or is this a far-fetched thesis?

Ask anyone who thinks so. I suppose it's because of its infinity.
In my opinion, a thesis on a dime.
