A question that remains open from the conference
Hello Rabbi,
I was at the conference yesterday and it was really, really successful in my opinion.
Rabbi Jungster asked a question that I did not hear your response to. He says that you wrote that the Rambam is very puzzling that he believes that a wicked person immediately dies in his sin, and he claims that the puzzling is on you, how did you think that the Rambam really thought so and here is a sign of disrespect for the Gedoyil. What do you have to say to that?
I have nothing to answer and I don’t see what the problem is. I claim that what is written there is clearly incorrect. If there is someone who has a brilliant explanation of the Maimonides’ intention – to your health. He will explain that the Maimonides’ intention is different and he will save the Maimonides from criticism. I did not criticize the Maimonides, but the claim that is written there, and through it the feeling as if such statements oblige us all. By the way, I explained this in my answer there at the end.
