A true prophet who sinned

שו”תCategory: HalachaA true prophet who sinned
asked 1 year ago

Hananiah Ben Azur was a true prophet.
But then we become a false prophet
And pledged to die
And as far as I know in Halacha
A true prophet who sinned
For a sin that deserves death, he shall be put to death.
Why does the ramban bother?
Explain that Balaam was
Only a magician and a supreme knower
And we will not bring because no
It is possible that Israel
They will lay hands on the prophet.
It is also possible.

Maybe because he was not a false prophet. He was a true prophet. What he said was indeed God’s word.

And in any case, they killed him
Probably he was liable to death
(advice to miss?)

And if we assume that he was
a true prophet
and not a magician
and yet he was liable to death
would he not have been killed?

In Halacha, there is no immunity
for someone who was a true prophet
and it seems that the Ramban gives him immunity
Why? The minyan?

*And from what?

As I wrote, he probably assumes that a true prophet is not killed.
