My rabbi in yeshiva claims that using the mind leads to a world of doubts and one should use the heart. Do you agree that there is such a division between the mind and the heart and that one should choose between them (maybe the heart is the right path and not just the better one?) or is it a fiction and there is only reason and animalistic impulses (which should not be addressed?

Empty slogans. He probably means intuition, but there is no mind without intuition, and there are always gaps.
