Isn't the fetus called a persecutor if it causes problems in the mother's mind (severe depression, etc.)?
What does it mean that abortion is murder?
From the perspective of Halacha, an abortionist is at most violating a rabbinical prohibition. He certainly does not have the punishment of a murderer. Neither intentionally nor by accident. Moreover, a woman who is killed prepares her for the womb. If it were murder, they would wait for her to give birth. And as long as he did not remove his head, he is judged as part of the mother.
Yechiel,
If the assessment is that it caused very serious psychological harm to the mother, perhaps there is a reason to allow it.
A,
Simply put, it is a Torah prohibition, and according to Rabbi Feinstein, you should not even murder. But I was mainly talking about the moral level, not the halakhic.
Evidence from a woman who was killed is not evidence. Even a mere Torah prohibition was supposed to make us wait. And in general, why kill the woman herself if it is murder? Punishment justifies murder. It is true that the fetus did not sin, but as I wrote, it is void to the mother. This does not mean that killing it is not murder. But as I said, I am mainly talking about the moral level.
