Abortion of a child with a disability
Hello Rabbi
I wanted to know what the Rabbi’s opinion is on the abortion of a child who is known during pregnancy to have a severe disability, such as a retardation/disability, if in his opinion the child’s life and the family’s life were not good because of it.

But if abortion is murder, then who hates whether born or unborn?
This is moral murder. But morally, the quality of life of the fetus also has value, and there is room to permit one against the other. Even halachically, when it comes to the prohibition of suicide and murder, King Saul committed suicide in order not to fall into the hands of his enemies, and there are rabbis who learn from this a general permit.
