About the story of creation

What plausible explanation is there for the creation story written in the Torah, considering the fact that evolution is apparently an agreed-upon theory? After all, the evolutionary process certainly did not happen in a few days. I imagine that the explanation would be along the lines of “Of course the Torah does not intend literal days, since God is not limited in time or place, and therefore there is some deep explanation that makes it better to say that the entire story is just a parable, etc.” But this again brings back to my question whether the reason for the overly simplistic view of the creation of the world is not a product of the period in which the Torah was given, and the deep interpretation of the creation story is a cover for that simple and problematic understanding that was accepted in the distant past. In addition, recently, during one of my wanderings around the Internet, I came across a website by an educated atheist named Ido Adi, who seems to have created a significant part of the website to refute your books. He claimed to me that you had answered him about some of his claims (which, by the way, give the impression that they were written by an understanding person), and I was interested in knowing where the answers could be found. And also what is your response to his criticism of your lack of orientation and knowledge in the subject of biology, which he claims causes many misconceptions on many subjects written about in your books.

Hello. This does not pertain to the question of whether God is above time or not. A more relevant question is what a day is (certainly before there was a sun in the sky). Perhaps a day is some period of time, and perhaps the Torah does not go into detail because it was given at a time when this was the physical picture. It should also be remembered that after creation time flowed at a completely different pace (due to the density of mass). In short, I do not know what the answer is, but since there are several possibilities, I will not dwell on it. I don’t remember the name Ido Adi, and I don’t remember answering him (but maybe. I answer a lot of people and I don’t remember them). Just two comments on what you brought up: 1. It has nothing to do with knowledge of biology. My book is mainly intended to show this, and I’m already exhausted by the many “knowledgeable people” who constantly repeat this nonsense. 2. This is about one book (God Plays Dice) and not books. As far as I remember, I don’t have another book that deals with biology. —————————————————————————————— Asks: For example, he mentions the subject of the peacock that you mentioned in your book, whose long tail is actually a contradiction to evolution, since its tail invites predators. And this subject ostensibly does touch on biology. You did mention that biology is not related to evolution for this reason, which is why this theory cannot be refuted in any way, but he is puzzled by this and firmly claims that this evidence is the result of a lack of knowledge. That is, in order to refute the connection between evolution and biology, one also needs knowledge of biology. —————————————————————————————— Rabbi: All of these claims are answered in the book itself. Beyond that, and in any case, all the discussions about evolution, and in particular about whether or not it is falsifiable, are not related to the question of faith that is the subject of the discussion. As I wrote to you, I have already been through so many arguments and appeals of this kind that I am already exhausted.
