Ancient World

Hello Rabbi
You wrote that an attempt to evade the cosmological and regression evidence is to claim that the world is ancient. But because we know there was a big bang, this is no longer relevant.
1) So they will simply transfer the concept of an ancient world to laws that are ancient and not physical reality itself. What Julian stuff. Does it really matter that there was a “big bang”?
2) Does the argument that the world is ancient really solve the problem? Isn’t saying that the world is ancient as simple as saying that there are turtles all the way down? That doesn’t lead to the conclusion that there is no reason. It means that every time you ask me what the reason is, I will give you an answer ad infinitum. Which is also the same regression, isn’t it?

I addressed this in terms of the principle of sufficient reason. The laws are also not applicable and therefore are not a reason for anything. They describe the operation of causes.
Indeed, a primeval world seems to me to be a problematic claim. I also argued that.
