Angels
Hello Rabbi, I have two questions regarding angels.
A. How can one even think about angels, it seems like idolatry, one great god and many minor gods?
B. Why does God even need angels?
A. Why are angels more divine than humans or physical forces? Angels are created beings like any other creature, except they don’t have a body. So what? What does this have to do with idolatry?
B. The angels are His messengers. In a modern view, the laws of nature can be seen as angels. They are the messengers who carry out the will of God. For example, the demon described in the Gemara as “Shaya,” who is responsible for the disintegration of unoccupied houses, is referred to in modern science as the second law of thermodynamics.
And the Merari pole is ready for a sunstroke.
