Assigned due to lack of pocket

I was asked by my dear daughter to find out whether a checkbook is even appropriate due to lack of pocket money and why?

I don’t think so. A pocket-less item is something you are careful not to touch so it doesn’t get damaged. A checkbook is not like that. It seems to me that it is a regular item, like a notebook or something that is intended for writing and business, and/or like money.
