Hey Miki
About 30 years ago, I argued on various occasions that the exile due to the destruction of the Second Temple was a bluff.
Although the Romans exiled several thousand Jews following the revolt, there were already many Jews around the world at that time. Evidence of this is the rebellions that these Jewish communities carried out against the government.
And in this context – it is said that we were exiled from our land – we were not exiled from our land. We sinned by preferring the pleasures of exile over Israel.
But there were mitigating circumstances: “What was true in Egypt during the time of Joseph and afterwards continued to be true: ‘And the children of Israel were fruitful, and multiplied, and waxed exceedingly strong, and the land was filled with them.'” The Land of Israel was small for the people of Israel. Thanks to the high level of literacy of the Jews, and the connection between the communities in the various countries, the Jews had an advantage in international trade. And the flourishing trade caused more and more Jews to “go down to break a rift.”

First, a clever idea came to my mind, but since it’s cleverness for its own sake, I “let go.”
All the best to you and have a good week.

The fact that there were already Jews in the Diaspora does not mean that when they were exiled, those who were in this land were not exiled and the event was not traumatic. It is a continuation of the process of exile from the First Temple (which left the rest of the Jews in the Diaspora).
