Behavior of molecules and another question.
Greetings to the Rabbi Shlita.
In his book ‘God Plays Dice’, the Rabbi said that no one has any idea how a sequence of molecules creates conscious feelings and will, and said that this is different from a sequence of water molecules, where the connection of several molecules creates a liquid (I’m not really familiar with the scientific details). I had a bit of a question: What is the difference between the connection of several molecules suddenly creating a ‘force field’ that causes a liquid? This is arbitrary, and what is the difference between water and a collection of molecules that creates consciousness?
By the way, in the same book, you expanded on your condemnation of materialism, and you said that while evolution can cause a gene to identify with suffering and the like, it can never create something that we see as valuable in that gene. Am I right?
As for the fact that one cannot say anything about something from external assumptions, as David Hume explained, then I didn’t really understand how moral and aesthetic issues are decided.
I hope I was able to explain.

The value is valid in the eyes of the robot that experiences it, why do we need anything more than that?
What does it have to do with need?
He said it doesn't really create value, but rather the illusion of value.
And I ask, what is the difference for every practical need?
Who talked about practice? There are practical differences, but that's not the issue here.
