To the Rabbi
Although I see that the rabbi usually avoids dealing with specific individuals, but rather with an argument or something like that.
27 I would like to hear from Rabbi Chavda
Every now and then I listen to lessons from Rabbi Moshe Shapira, the late. I am always amazed by the structure and the explanation, and many times you really discover all kinds of insights and ideas through him.
But on the other hand, he treats every word in the sagas of the sages in an extreme way (and indeed gives explanations that usually seem to satisfy the mind, even though I am not sufficiently critical-minded).
I asked whether the rabbi had spoken to him personally or whether he knew him personally. So, could the rabbi give us his opinion of him?
And in general, in the field of thought, does the Rabbi see him as someone unique in the field (I saw, for example, that Benny Levi, who was a student of Sartre, really admired him) or is his teaching in these matters also in the eyes of the Rabbi like all matters of thought?
I've already written about him briefly here. I knew him (and he knew me a little). I heard a few lessons from him and we even talked once. At first I was very impressed with him, but I think in the end his explanations don't really convince me. As you wrote, he is too precise with his words and I wasn't convinced that it was really worth doing so.
It is clear that he has no different status than any other thinker, meaning that his words should be examined on their own merits. My argument is that there is no authority in the field of thought, but that does not mean that everyone talks nonsense. After all, it does not really matter what my opinion of him is in general. You can learn from anyone, each of the things is convincing from your point of view.
Where can I find his lessons?
I don't know.
Your Honor, you write, I wrote about him here and he doesn't specify where here.
Nahum, there is an option to search the site (search box at the top left)
Or search Google with an identifier like mikiab.net. See here for an example:
https://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3A+mikyab.net+%D7%9E%D7%A9%D7%94+%D7%A9%D7%A4%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%90
Google also posted an old, worn-out message from a bearded man from 2004 on the Stop Here Thinkers forum, which contains quite excessive praise ("An amazing personality phenomenon", "The things written do not represent the full extent of his abilities")
You have to search here on the site. I don't remember where either. But those were short things.
To p:
There is a website with his lessons:
