cobweb

asked 1 month ago

An old man who knows a lot of Kabbalah, although in Bengali he is not a great find (even I, the K., know a lot more in Bengali than him, and it’s not really much…) told me last night during a visit to his house that spider webs are not good spiritually, they symbolize… and mainly bring unclean forces into the house, etc.
And you have to invest a lot to remove them…
How does the rabbi treat this?
In my opinion, this shows that the house is not kept clean enough, and sometimes a sponge and washed dishes are better than cobwebs at a height…
But on the other hand, who knows what he knows that I don’t yet know?
Good reasons not to take his words seriously despite his great knowledge
1 He is guided and probably also learns through emotion rather than intellect in all areas of life.
2 In Bengali, even though I know better
3 In the occult, even in specific areas where decades ago he was famous for his innovation and depth of understanding, he really blew away those involved in the field. I talked to him and was surprised that I knew more. He must have forgotten his Talmud a little, and when I reminded him of basic definitions, he had no patience for the subject at all… (Strange, for sure, for someone who made his name in the field in these matters… but that’s what it is, maybe it’s just old age?)
4 Ethically or intellectually, he has a defect in production. He supports Netanyahu. He has no problem in principle with corruption as long as he is not directly harmed by it.

How would the rabbi respond to his warnings?

If possible please give a reasoned answer, it is important to me.

Thank you, Rabbi, may you be blessed.

I have nothing to say except another warning from a spider’s nest. Netanyahu sends them.
