Continuation of Bergson and the Theory of Relativity

Hello Rabbi.
Some time ago I read Henri Bergson’s ‘Essay on the Immediate Data of Consciousness,’ and his idea of ​​a sequel particularly caught my attention.
Some time later, I mentioned this idea to a friend of mine who is a physicist, and his initial instinct was to say that it seemed completely opposite to the way time is thought of in modern physics. This led me to read several articles about the confrontation between Einstein and Bergson over the theory of relativity (although this was not exactly the criticism my friend was making), but none of the articles seriously answered the question and they all settled for analyses that had no substance.
 
My question to the rabbi is whether there is indeed a contradiction between Bergson’s conception of the continuum and the empirical findings of modern physics (or even the theories leading to the interpretation of the findings), or does the resistance I encountered stem from conceptual confusion stemming from a lack of philosophical understanding?
