Determinism and nature
The rabbi wrote that in his opinion, nature is deterministic and excludes man from the law of nature (free will). I think that from the belief that humans have free will, it follows that nature is also (at least to a certain extent) not fixed; take, for example, the climate changes that have been worrying us in recent decades. If man has free will, and his choice caused the climate changes to occur – is there not an influence of man on nature (and thus nature itself is not fixed but subject to change – by human choices)?

What is the proof that nature is deterministic?
I assume you meant not on the quantum level but on the faith level,
So there is and will be,
Max’ He can claim that we see around us that nature is deterministic and that the evidence for it is overwhelming.
But how much evidence is there for miracles? Throughout history and supernatural things, there is no shortage of evidence.
There is no definitive proof of anything in the world. If you don't accept the laws of physics, you have the right to live in a movie. We draw conclusions from observing the world in every aspect of our lives, and you can always wonder if we are right. It is worth remembering the Ram and Rambam that I mentioned at the beginning of the column.
How did Rambam know that there are no demons? How did he know that there were separate minds and that the world is made up of four elements? That was the science of his time (which, of course, was much less established than it is today). Not to mention how did the sages know all kinds of scientific and other information that they wrote.
The rabbi, of course, ignored the fact that there are countless testimonies all over the world to supernatural things. It is not right not to accept such a mass of testimonies throughout history and across countless groups of people.
I agree that there is also “nature”, but not only nature.
And already R’ Eliezer Papu in his book Pela Yoetzeh resolved the issue at length, the rabbi could have included it in a trilogy that has not yet been published, by a little interpretive correctness that most people are in the third part.
“And here the investigation found a place to rest, since God kills and gives life, what can the doctor give or add, if it is destined for him to die, if all the doctors in the world stand up and cannot save his soul from death, and about this they said, the doctor's mistake, the will of the Creator. And there is no one to save him from his hand, and if it is decreed that he will live without a physician, the Holy One, blessed be He, rolls over incarnations and brings him his healing, for there are many ways to the place and many with Him are redeemed, and He will send His word and heal them.
But the answer to this and many such inquiries is that there are three types of decrees, if he is a man of great ability, with a merit attached to it, and without merit, and healthy by his fortune, even if he does not have a physician and does things contrary to his illness, he will not die but will live alive.
And there are those who are decreed death, by the mercy of God, for a shepherd, if he guards himself with all the precautions in the world, in vain will he guard and the physicians will not benefit or save him.
Alas, there are those who, because of their sins, are placed under nature, if they guard themselves and behave according to nature with medicine, they will live alive, and if not, they will die, and of such it is said (Proverbs 13:23) and there are those who perish without trial:
”
Therefore, it is appropriate to connect the question here to what was opened here:

I am not ignoring it, of course. You are ignoring the amount of fools walking around the world. And even if there is evidence of one kind or another, it is at most a specific case (as mentioned, I cannot rule out sporadic involvement).
It is nice of you to agree that there is also nature. 🙂
