Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to ask whether, in the Rabbi’s opinion, there is moral value in work when a person has no need for a livelihood, such as when he is very wealthy.
It seems to me that it used to be accepted that people only go to work if there was a financial need. Today, from the secular side, there is a value of self-fulfillment (personally, I don’t see it as much of a value), and from the religious-national side, there is a Kokenic approach that a profession is a kind of spiritual mission of a person in the world.
What does the rabbi think?
thanks
