Divorce a woman
Why is there a prohibition on a woman giving a divorce to a man? And can the action be performed solely by the man?

There is no prohibition for a woman to give a divorce to a man. Even a cat can give a divorce to a cloud. But if the woman gives a divorce to a man, there is no divorce. That is what the Torah decreed (or at least that is how the Sages understood it to decree), and I have no idea why.
