Does the type of dome not matter at all?

Hello, I’m considering replacing my kippah with a smaller knitted kippah. For the past two years, I’ve had a large knitted kippah like this with a stripe around it that only Haredi people wear (like Smotrich). Now, this may sound like a really stupid question, and who cares about the type of kippah, but a kippah is a really strong symbol of belonging, and I saw that you said that its meaning is to separate those who have a religious commitment from those who don’t. So, it’s very difficult for me to currently belong to the Haredi community, even if it’s only to outsiders. And I really dislike this community. Do you see my concerns as exaggerated or justified? (As someone who dislikes Haredi society and wears a black kippah)
