Duality
I was asked to give a lecture to secular academics on the topic of who a person is, and to create as much awareness as possible that a person is not just a walking lump of flesh, but is composed of a spiritual system.
Do you have any line of thought (tailored to an educated secular public) that makes this point well?

I would like to say that in such proposals, it is worth honestly examining yourself to see if you are suitable, in terms of knowledge and general education. Otherwise, your lecture will do more harm than good. At the end of the Freedom Science books there is a series of thought experiments that may help you. In addition, you need to define the concepts well (what is meant by a spiritual system: something else that exists within us, or a property of the material complex – emergentism).
