Eating the night before the fast
peace. I fell asleep without intending to go to sleep (I also didn’t pray the evening prayer) and woke up at one point in the night. It seems to me that I am allowed to eat in such a case even though I didn’t fast because I had no intention of fasting. Is that true?
I’m not sure I understood the question.
There is no need to accept the fast on the 17th of Tammuz. This is not a dream fast.
It is my understanding that there is also no need to decide in advance not to fast if you decide to do so. The question of whether you should fast or not is a different question. In principle, it is appropriate to fast unless there is a good reason not to do so.
He doesn't ask about eating before dawn?
I really meant to ask about eating before dawn.
I can't believe genius Mickey didn't understand the simple question.
I think it's because he answered it in the morning. So what's the point of answering something that happened in the past when it's a question that's actually happening now? 🙂
So I, the genius, really don't understand what the problem is. Why not eat at night?
Because it is known that it is a problem if you did not agree in advance that you will eat at night!!!!

Now I understand the question. This explanation is limited in itself, since in simple terms fasting does not depend on acceptance. Especially since all this fasting is a custom, and the custom is that people fast from the morning and no one in the world fasts from the night. In any case, if you fell asleep by chance and did not go to sleep intentionally, then in any case it is not reasonable to say that you took upon yourself the fast, since going to sleep was not planned.
