Do you think that having children is an altruistic or selfish act? I would of course appreciate your perspective.

That is, this time, unusually, you want me to write my own opinion. This is not an altruistic act because there is no contribution from you to anyone else. The child himself would not have been in the world if you had not brought him. And to the world in general, it is doubtful whether this contributes. It’s not necessarily selfish either. It depends on why you’re bringing the child into the world. If it’s because of the mitzvah, then there’s no selfishness here (and maybe there’s some kind of spiritual correction in the world here). You may have meant to ask about holding the child, not about bringing it into the world. Here there is already a beneficiary and it could be altruistic. But I think the answer here too is not clear. It depends on why you are holding it. Even if it is done only for it, you have a responsibility to do so because you are the one who brought it into the world.

Of course. Only this time I deviated from my custom, especially since I already have my own opinion, so it would be more interesting to hear a different opinion. And the question is, is it moral to choose for him to bring him here without giving him the opportunity to agree?

This is also where my claim about wrongful birth comes in (search here). There is no room for such a claim.
