Eliezer Schach

I am a Chabad follower, and like most of them, I have spent most of my life, literally, reading the Rebbe’s writings and talks, or about him. I saw that you wrote on several occasions that you heard Eliezer Schach tell a story that happened to him when he went to receive a dollar from the Rebbe. It’s hard for me to explain, but what he claimed to have heard from the Rebbe is very inconsistent with the Rebbe’s style, who had unique language and behavior that completely do not ‘fit’ with that quote, and anyone knowledgeable about the subject will immediately sense this.
My question is, did you hear this from him himself, or on his behalf, etc.
Thank you very much in advance.

You mean Ephraim. Rabbi Eliezer is his father. I heard from him on the radio.

Curious, what is the quote?

He stood in line to distribute the dollars, and when the Rebbe learned that he was the son of Rabbi Schach, he told him that when he arrived in Israel, he would tell his father that it was not him (the Messianic Carnival) but his followers. He went to his father and told him the Rebbe's words, and Rabbi Schach replied: Let him tell his followers, not me.

Yes, I was confused. By the way, his father was called Elazar.
You say you heard this from him when he was interviewed on the radio. Strange. This raises dozens of questions in my mind, most of which cannot be expressed, because these are mainly just guesses. One of them is: During the internal Chabad debates, every stone or word from the Rebbe was turned over in order to understand his will, whether he wanted to be proclaimed as the Messiah, etc., so how come they don't quote such a piquant saying? And especially since it is filmed, as the dollar bills are.
To my friend, it is clear that he lied, no less.
