Exercises to improve eyesight on Shabbat
peace,
I started a program to improve my vision (lowering the number in my glasses).
The theory is that the reason for the need for this number is because of “locking” of internal muscles within the eyes that do not allow the eyes to be flexible and focus correctly at different distances. The idea is to “switch” from the incorrect form of vision to the correct form by teaching the internal system what the correct form of vision is.
The exercises are to do various relaxation exercises for the eyes, walk without them as much as possible, pay attention to things in your peripheral vision and see them move and feel how it affects your focus. Move your head from side to side and pay attention to changing focuses or hold a small object near your eyes and slowly move it away from your eyes, which actually allows your eyes to learn how to refocus, and other exercises of this type.
The idea behind the method is to do it all day long as much as possible (walk without glasses, occasionally do one of the exercises, pay attention to changing focuses, etc.) and let the eyes and brain slowly get used to a different way of seeing than they are used to.
Is there any problem with doing the different things on Shabbat?
thanks
