Far right

Recently, in Europe, the far right has been gaining momentum and rising to power.
Does it worry you that questionable “racist” people are coming to power in Europe, for example the president-designate of the Netherlands who is pro-Israel but seems to be quite a racist?
As a French-Israeli citizen living in a country that has the right to vote in France, can I (morally) vote for the far right because they clearly stand with Israel, even though if I were a French citizen living in France I probably wouldn’t vote for them?

I don’t know the people involved, but it’s a question of whether it’s permissible to point out the lesser evil. See my comments on this in columns 189, 555. In general, it is worth knowing that the depiction of these people and parties in the liberal press is biased, and they are not always as bad as they are portrayed.

Thank you very much
Regarding the moral question, do you think there is a problem with this? Using my right as a French citizen to advance Israeli interests even though if I lived in France I would act differently?

By the way, the Dutchman probably wasn't elected. The system there is parliamentary and he is far from getting a majority to form a coalition.
I agree with Rabbi Mikhi that sometimes there may be exaggerations about them (for example, the right-winger elected in Argentina sounds rather excellent to me). But Donald Trump, for example, is definitely a very dubious character in my opinion (less so his agenda, more so his very problematic character).

Why not? You are a French citizen and this is in your interest. It is certainly no worse than voting to advance your own private interest (to provide support to the Abrechs, or to advance this or that area).
