If ‘Or Chaldee’ is the Sumerian ‘Or’ in central Mesopotamia, then our ancestor was indeed Iraqi, but some believe that ‘Or Chaldee’ from where Abraham came is ‘Orkash’ near Haran in the border area of Syria and Turkey.
