Good week to the Rabbi. A person who enjoys fasting because it feels easier and so on – when fasting on Yom Kippur, did he fulfill his duty and protect his soul or did he just not violate the prohibition of eating? Thank you

It definitely exists. There is no prohibition on eating, but there is an obligation to fast. It is not about suffering, but rather about disconnecting from the needs of the body.
