God

asked 5 years ago

Since there is no perceptual thought in it, is it possible to say, perhaps even educate, that God = man’s conscience, human reason, everything that is spiritual in man, the source of his values, holiness, etc. instead of explaining that there is a spiritual entity transcending the universe whose existence can be proven or denied. It seems to me that this is simpler to explain and educate. What does the Rabbi think?

You can say anything, but there are two problems with this: 1. God is not an entity but a mental movement. This is just a form of expression and not an argument. 2. If there is no entity in the background, all these norms are invalid. They are just worthless psychological illusions. In fact, the concept of ‘value’ does not exist (see Notebook Four). By the way, the existence of that entity cannot necessarily be proven or disproved. It is possible to claim its existence even without proof. Every proof is based on basic assumptions, and if there is someone who directly understands that God exists, he does not need proof.

Thank you Rabbi. Several questions of understanding
1. What does God mean = mental movement
2. Why if there is no God, there are no values? Man's aspiration for values proves a spiritual and conscientious force that exists in man - I call it, God.
3. What is the basic premise on which we build the proof of the existence of God?

1. You have to explain this, not me. You claimed it.
2. Regardless of what you call something, which is semantics, morality has no validity for God. See more in the fourth notebook (or in the fourth conversation in my book ‘The First Manuscript’).
3. This is detailed in my aforementioned book. You certainly don't expect me to write a book here.

“Without God, morality has no validity” Why?
Maybe morality is part of an evolutionary development inherent in man?

I pointed to places where this is explained.
