In one of your posts you wrote this:

Could you please explain here why you think the phrase ‘paid his debt to society’ is absurd?
Because punishment is not the payment of a debt. A person who has not repented, even if he has served his sentence, should not have his status restored. He is a sinner and should be treated as such. If he repents, there is room for argument that he can be treated differently.
