Peace and blessings,
I cursed my Haredi neighbors that they would die of Corona in severe agony. It was a kind of outlet for the feeling of pogrom that the rabbi described so well at the time. Several of the despisers were indeed infected, and some of their family members, but they still haven’t died, but I can hear their groans clearly in my house. I feel glad that my curse came true, even if only for a moment. Is this feeling normal?
Kind regards, Benjamin

Maybe normal, but completely inappropriate.

Rabbi Michi, why don't you stop this tireless troublemaker from bothering here?

ירוחם replied 5 years ago

I forgot to add that it now turns out that in addition to being a nuisance, he is also a wicked evildoer.

Shame and disgrace that such a person is allowed to stay here on the site, all his questions are not related to freedom of expression but to a person who feeds on hatred and from morning to night curses an entire sector of Israel.
This is only because the rabbi also hates the haredi sector and therefore he allows him to run wild here as he pleases, everything here is interests without any connection to the excuses of freedom of speech and pluralism.

The rabbi never claimed to be a pluralist, but rather a tolerant one. Therefore, he lets everyone say what they want. Benjamin Gorlin's hatred of the ultra-Orthodox is certainly shocking.

Anyone who shows mercy to the cruel will end up being cruel to the merciful. Anyone who publicly flouts the guidelines is cruel and should not be pitied.

Y.D., thank you my friend for your openness, tolerance and acceptance of others.

The disturbing thing here on the site is that people come from the feeling that they are graduates of the religious sector and want to prove that they are enlightened people, tolerant and inclusive of others, and therefore they are extremists and fanatics in their new path, similar to many of the converts who are extremists and fanatics in the religious-spiritual section.

Hatred, evil, death wishes and throwing mud at sectors different from you is very far from tolerance. This of course shows that you are still deep in the cave.

Gorlin is the undisputed proof that there is a deep problem in Haredi, and it is the severe consequences of those who drop out of it. It haunts them and gives them no rest. There are those who try to erase Haredi from their memory by getting tattoos, eating worms, marrying non-Jews, and other animals, but it haunts them until the day they die. I have yet to encounter a Haredi who has left his past behind and become a man of the community. There is always an extremism in his behavior that proves that something is weighing on him and he is trying to suppress it, but in vain. I have a considerable number of former Haredi friends, and all of them, without exception, have turned out to be unconventional types and creatures. Most of them are even busy proving that they are not afraid of G-d and make sure to maintain permanent statuses on Yom Kippur and Passover with chametz and on other holy days with the drool of some shrimp or a pastrami toast with butter. There are also those who make sure to place tefillin on non-Jewish women in minimal clothing or anything that could supposedly irritate the Their Haredi brothers, what can we do, it's not annoying but pitiful, in the end this is a mental problem that requires an expert's response, it hurts terribly that secular society takes care to embrace them and intensify their insanity until in many cases the victims end up committing suicide, to the praise of the Hillel sect, which takes care to normalize these society, and provides them with academic studies and other things that will keep them sane as a whole. Their brothers from Tel Aviv, there are exceptions, (there is one named Esti Segal, whom Channel Kan 11 gave full support to, and a number of other exceptions. By and large, this is an almost inclusive phenomenon, except for Mizrahi Haredim, not racism, God forbid, but where women are usually the trigger for leaving Harediism/religion, and they don't deal with other things beyond that.

With Gorlin, it seems that the phenomenon exists and in his way he found a place to define himself, you just have to have mercy and just flush the water after he finishes.

I will point out and emphasize, It does seem that if this were a phenomenon involving someone from the gay community, for example, and he had spilled his feces in the courtroom, the matter would have ended differently. Apparently, Haredi society is strong enough not to be harmed by patients with mental trauma, unlike other communities whose only right to exist is to be included and given public legitimacy.

Hello friends.
Naturally, you are not aware of the amount of Gorlin's ”questions” that are deleted here on the site every day. What I leave behind are only messages that contain a question that is worth discussing, even if it is expressed in problematic ways, and even if it arouses antagonism and irritation. This has nothing to do with the Haredim and my relationship with them (anyone who knows me knows that it is complex).
Specifically here, a question arose that can definitely be discussed: whether someone who behaves irresponsibly and causes illness and even death to others, and ultimately becomes ill himself, what should be our attitude towards him. Incidentally, nothing was mentioned here that concerns the Haredi public. He spoke about specific Haredim who behaved in a specific way. In addition, as is known, the conduct of the Haredim is indeed lacking in consequence, and this is a correct generalization (but, as is the case with generalizations, it is not correct regarding all the details). But none of this prevents the troll running wild here from ignoring the facts and blaming the entire universe.
If I return to the specific question that was raised here, in my opinion it is a question worth discussing and therefore it was not deleted. Anyone who gets angry about it should take a tranquilizer. This is the nature of free discussion. In addition, it is worth reading it before commenting on it.
The Nick who returns here under various names, who repeatedly makes insults about my relationship with the ultra-Orthodox and speculates about my motives for leaving Gorlin's messages, and also slanders Gorlin without basis (in this particular case), was much closer to being deleted from my perspective than Gorlin's message. However, my policy is that as long as these irrelevant statements are directed at me (and as mentioned regarding Gorlin, they have substance, even if not in this question) I do not delete them. Statements directed at others, publics or individuals, that do not contain relevant content or are too offensive, are deleted. This is because freedom of speech is indeed important to me, unlike you, my troll friend, who tries to silence people even if they make valid claims. But you see? I didn't even delete you.

My words were written before Tam's unspeakable pearls, who is also an example and model of my openness, tolerance and patience. I think he wrote his last message to demonstrate my policy. You can see here that you can make baseless claims, incorrect facts, accusations against the public (especially if they are not ultra-Orthodox, like former ultra-Orthodox) or individuals, and still it will not be deleted until you have been sated.
So thank you Tam for the demonstration.

It seems we live on a different planet, if you want I'll add links, the phenomenon is famous, you just have to know these companies from the inside.

מיכי Staff replied 5 years ago

We don't live on another planet, we just have a different mindset. I'm sorry if this sounds condescending, but you've proven it here at every turn.

א. replied 5 years ago

This is not just a tam. Every average Haredi is characterized by this different way of thinking. What is a tam here again? As for that Gorlin, his question oozes evil.

תם. replied 5 years ago

And I'm still convinced that I understand more about garbage than you do, and since I've dealt a lot with a group of dropouts from the ultra-Orthodox sector, I've seen the consequences.
Of course, I already imagined that there are exceptions, like everywhere.

An example of one of a thousand

Until a year or more ago, it was nice and useful to go to the site and laugh. There are a lot of trolls and bored people who are busy digging up Haredim and their mental problems (the trolls', not the Haredim's) - staying here has become burdensome and unpleasant. Maybe the problem is that I don't have the patience of old Hillel for the scum that flies around here, but the purpose of the site - as I understand it - is to provide a place and challenge critical thinking for all users and not to serve as a platform for three trolls. I can't tell the rabbi what to do, you are the owner of the house and do as you wish on the site, but in my opinion, the user experience of the other readers should be taken into account and I believe that I am not the only one who is fed up with this trolling. This may come at the expense of openness and inclusion, but it also comes at the expense of the patience of most sane users.

א. replied 5 years ago

B. You are definitely the third, second or first troll.

ב. (2) replied 5 years ago

A, just to clarify, I am not the same ‘B’ from another thread where you asked (I didn't notice, I should have chosen a different name). And while I am a troll as you wrote, I agree to accept the penalty of being blocked for the good of the many.

This is a curse that stems from stupidity.
Already in March, everyone should have been careful and protected from the virus. But everyone was negligent. Because the Ministry of Health guidelines were negligent about the virus.
So if B.G. wants to be fair, he should curse himself that he will die in terrible agony because he underestimated the virus in March. He can congratulate himself that he will not die by the Ministry of Health because he did not underestimate the Ministry of Health guidelines. But he underestimated Corona. Like everyone else.

B.
I will definitely consider your argument.

חיים replied 5 years ago

Perhaps the troll here is changing and hiding his name for fear of being considered by Binyamin Gorlin.

By the way, a few days ago, a question was raised by B.G. as to why the Haredim prefer not to live near secular neighbors, and the question was deleted.

As it seems to me that now there is an answer.
The Haredim are afraid of living near potential cursers.
