Intellectual property in the Torah

I heard your lesson on intellectual property on YouTube and I thought about how Esau’s sale of the firstborn to Jacob was also intellectual property. I just thought it was interesting to note, and I was wondering if you know of any other intellectual property in the Torah.

There is some discussion about this among commentators. But simply put, there was no normal halachic property there. In general, things that happened in the Torah did not necessarily happen according to the halachic law we have, even though commentators tend to think so.
