Intuition
Sometimes I hear about cases that are brought up in the context of private providence, where the probability of them happening is very low. Of course, it is difficult to check the exact probability of their occurrence, and therefore it is difficult to say with certainty that there was divine intervention here, but intuition says A. that in terms of probability this certainly exceeds what it would mean to be B. It also says that it would not have happened just like that, and there is intervention here [i.e. even if it is a case with a reasonable probability (say 1% for example) in any case it seems – because of its background, which contains the context of doing God’s will – that there is divine intervention here].
