Is God good?

Do you have an article that proves whether God is good or evil? And do you know of a book or article by anyone else on this subject [in a Google search I found nothing except one article by Dr. Rhett]

What kind of proof are you looking for? If it is written in the Bible, is that sufficient? “The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all his works” and so on and so forth. If not verses in the Bible, are you looking for proof from reality?
Meaning philosophically
You can rely on the fact that he instilled in us morality and commitment to him, or on the validity of the commitment that depends on God's goodness. But all of these arguments are debatable. See a bit about Euthyphro's dilemma in column 457.
