Is it permissible to believe in such a gospel of Job?

I’m talking to a man who seems to know what he’s talking about, someone who is now a PM in Israel and he knows about him agreeing to sell attack submarines to an enemy country in exchange for a bunch of money that is now hidden in a bank account in Panama.
I don’t know where he serves in the intelligence agencies or whether he doesn’t at all and is relying on the words of Mossad head Fredo in some slip of the tongue he once had?
And if he said this publicly and much more than I have said, is it permissible to believe it?
Just to be afraid?
A huge sum of money for a person from Israel (although a person who was held to be dubious)
