Is it strange to you that the speed of light is independent of the observer?
Hello Rabbi,
We are used to the idea in everyday life that when I run towards some object that is moving itself, then the speed of my running affects the relative speed of the object moving towards me. For some reason, if I run after a ray of light, this is not the case and it will always appear to be moving at the same speed relative to me, no matter how fast I run towards it. Doesn’t this seem strange to you? How did people even come up with such strange ideas?
Best regards,
