Is RAAM as part of the government a good thing or a bad thing?
peace,
I don’t have enough knowledge and understanding to know whether the RAAM as part of the government will be something terrible and horrible as many say or whether it will be “fair” in other words not so terrible or maybe even something good?
If the bottom line is that the right has a veto on everything, why is it terrible?

In a democratic Jewish state, only Jews should have the right to vote (or the right to be elected).
But due to lack of thinking, no one thinks about this simple fact
Should the right to travel on intercity roads also be limited to Jews?
“Should only Jews have the right to travel on intercity roads?”
That will be decided by the government elected by Jews.
Will a Reform resident be recognized as a Jew for voting purposes?
Indeed, the question is who is a Jew.
I don't have a definitive answer, but the direction is that anyone who does not believe in Moses our Lord as the sole source of authority and has no other authority than him is not a Jew.
That is, a secular, heretical Jew of the type of Herzl and Ben-Gurion will lose his right to vote?
Answer to the questioner of the main question:
If you are in favor of a Jewish state, then you should be concerned that there is a party in the government that does not recognize that this is a state of the Jewish people. It is that basic. There is no bias here.
If a party of Arabs were to arise that recognizes that there is a Jewish state of the people of Israel, then that is a completely different matter.
On the day of thunder (Thursday) to order and you shall not be afraid to rise up
On the question of establishing a government based on Arabs, there are two levels – the principled and the practical.
On the principled level, there is a problem in the very situation that the one who makes the fateful decisions is a Gentile.. We were commanded ‘You shall not put over you a foreigner who is not your brother’, and in a democratic regime, every member of the Knesset on whom the government relies is somewhat of a ‘king’.
The principled problem is more serious, when the involvement of the foreigner is contrary to the choice of the majority of the Jewish citizens of Israel. This serious situation exists in the government that Bennett and Lapid want to establish now, which will probably be a clearly left-wing government led by Lapid, Gantz, Michaeli and Zandberg, contrary to the wishes of the majority of Jewish voters who voted ‘right’, and are receiving the help of the ‘left of the left’ Arabs.
In the broadest sense of practical concern, a distinction must be made between the political-security sphere and the sphere of the Jewish character and values of the state.
In the political-security sphere, my main concern is with the leadership of the government, starting with Lapid Michaeli and Meretz, who will run amok’ to establish a Palestinian state and destroy the settlements in Judea and Samaria, and with Gantz, who will not dare to confront American and international pressure. But even the relatively moderate Mansour Abbas has already shown his strong opposition to Operation Law and Order, which is supposed to deter Arab rioters.
In the area of values, preserving the Jewish character of the country, it is precisely the Arabs, even the secular ones, who have an affinity and understanding for traditional values. We have already seen in the event of Motti Steinmetz in Afula, that a Jewish judge completely disqualified due to the "gender separation", while an Arab judge found the golden path between the need for religious people to observe the laws of their religion, and proposed three enclosures, one for men, one for women and one "for everyone who is interested". Arabs have a much greater understanding of respecting religion and tradition.
And on the issue of LGBTQ people, Abbas made it clear that he would not lend his hand to legislation in this area. Knowing the eagerness of the left and liberals, who have already planned to prohibit by law professional psychological help for those who wish to change their tendencies. Abbas's insistence (and that of the members of the Joint Committee) will prevent the persecution of professionals who do not accept that opposite tendencies cannot be changed.
In short:
On the principle level, relying on Arabs even to carry out the will of the majority of Jews is not good, and even more so when the intervention of the Arabs goes against the will of the majority of Jews.
On the practical level... in the political-security field, relying on the Arabs increases the concern. On the other hand, on the moral level, Arabs have more respect for religion and tradition than some liberals and leftists, who despise tradition as a paranoid fanaticism.
This is a difficult situation, and we can only lift our eyes to our Creator, who will put mercy in the heart of the kingdom for the people of Israel and its Torah and save us from all evil and cruel decrees, and will send us the Ra’am [=Ra’a from the hymn] to guide us in the ways of the Torah and the mitzvah.
With greetings, Yaron Fishel Ordner
