Is there a prohibition on stealing from a limited liability company? As is known, a company is a legal entity.
The question stems from the fact that it is not right to steal from something that is not a person. And a legal entity is a mere fiction. And the owner is not directly responsible for what happens in the company.
(Or is there a prohibition due to market regulation?)
If Halacha recognizes legal entities as legal entities, like individual humans, why wouldn’t it be forbidden to steal from them?
Where does Halacha recognize them? Can you give an example?
Search the web and you will find it. Of course, one can always argue that in the Talmud there were no corporations in the modern sense, but that is simply a quibble. It does not discuss the public as an entity. I remember an article in Bezhar 11 or 13 about the corporation and much more.
A public is a collection of people. A company is a legal fiction. Soon they will be allowed to marry a limited company.
