Is there anything to look for in the Haredi yeshiva world?
Hello Rabbi,
I have previously received the impression that there are certain advantages to studying in a Haredi yeshiva over a Zionist yeshiva. Both what the rabbi mentions, that it is easier to obtain educational tools there, and also other things: the fact that the focus is entirely on Torah and there are not so many other content worlds, and the ethos that the importance of studying Torah is more noticeable and the motivation to be a scholar and perhaps a great scholar is higher, which encourages more competitiveness and a desire and motivation to learn, etc.
I recently heard from a Haredi person that the Haredi yeshiva world is in a bit of a decline, the ethos of learning for its own sake has eroded and there is less sympathy for the elite and exceptions of all kinds and more towards mediocrity and following the flow, the desire is to be more of a “good guy” and that’s it. In light of these things (if you agree with them at all, or are familiar with what’s going on in the Haredi yeshiva world these days), do you still think there are any significant advantages to studying in a Haredi yeshiva?
Beyond that, another question: Are there specific advantages to Haredi yeshivahs for converts?

As a person who is both a convert and studying in a Zionist yeshiva, is there any chance of getting there at all or is it better to give up in advance?
I don't understand. Do you mean being accepted into a Haredi yeshiva? I don't know.
