Is there one truth in the world?

Hello Rabbi
Is there one truth in the world?
Should I think during an argument that on the one hand I am right and on the other hand there is room for another opinion? Doesn’t that mean there is no truth at all?

These questions have been discussed here many times. It depends on the question. But there are questions for which there is one truth. For example, in questions of fact, such as whether or not there is a God. If one is right, the other is wrong and vice versa. You are supposed to weigh the options and ultimately decide to the best of your understanding. You have no other option but your own tools. This does not mean that what you decided is necessarily correct, but it is the truth to the best of your understanding. Therefore, it is worth being attentive to other opinions in order to weigh them and make decisions in the best way.

Can the Rabbi point me to where I can read about this?
For example, about other types of questions, etc.

There are many and it is difficult to refer to them all. Do a search.
For example in columns 247-8, 328 and many more.

Before you get really involved, you should understand the lie.
See here for a respectable list of cognitive biases that lead people to hold false perceptions.
