Israel and Judah
Your Honor, what do you think about the existence of two memorial ceremonies for October 7th? The very fact that both are marked on a foreign date, stand as competitors in a certain way/”alternatives”, and that this is done in close proximity to our undecided political and security situation?

Respected Mr. Joke, beyond the politicians themselves in the coalition and the government, how do you explain to yourself the support of millions in the country for the politicians in the coalition and the government? Do you understand their side and agree with them on some points, or are they wrong about everything? Some are stupid sheep, some are fanatical bandits, and some are evil and wicked?
It is clear to me personally that a government whose job it was and whose responsibility it was to carry out the massacre, that did not visit the kibbutzim, that did not take responsibility, that did not establish an investigative committee, that did not set a date for elections, that did not apologize, has no shred of legitimacy to hold a ceremony. Zero integrity, shame.
Mikhi,
Your thin divisions are the ones that are blown out of proportion. From your perspective, it is okay to publicly humiliate ministers and expel them, but not to hold an alternative ceremony even if the person appointed to hold the state ceremony is Miri Regev who is looking for diamonds. Even if this division makes sense, it is not 100%, and therefore your reaction to the ceremony, which was painful, sensitive, and inclusive, is unclear.
This leads me to what I see a lot in you, a wild exaggeration in describing reality (“Haaretz is Yeted Neeman on steroids” your quote. Yes, of course, because Yeted Neeman will let someone from the other side write a column).
There are of course cases in which there was an excess of proportion on the part of anti-government elements, but a government that conducts itself by ignoring the victims and abdicating responsibility definitely loses a public mandate and can only blame itself.
I definitely agree with your conclusion, the security situation looks better and more encouraging, and I'm glad Bibi has gathered courage.
I tend to agree with the Rabbi's position on the subject. I would like to point out that in my opinion, it is important to maintain respect in this forum and in general. Certainly in such a dynamic subject.
I am genuinely interested in understanding the position of some of the commenters who place responsibility for the massacre on the "current government." How exactly are Smotrich, Regev, Gafni, or Deri responsible for the massacre?
To the best of my knowledge, the ones in charge of the decree are the IDF and Shin Bet, and they are the ones who failed in their duties.
I have no particular position for or against the government, and therefore from an external perspective it appears that those who place the responsibility on them are trying to prevent it from being placed on those truly responsible, in order to blame those they hate.
Avi,
I doubt how much you are asking “truly and sincerely”, and also how much “you don't have a special position for or against the government”.
I do recommend that you ask Bibi and Smotritz, who handled more serious accusations against members of the previous government when there were terrorist attacks.
Eli,
I have no question about Bibi and Smotrich because they are politicians, and politicians say what their voters want to hear, with any connection to reality being completely coincidental.
My question is about ordinary people who write what they really think. I would be happy if you could explain to me what you think.
(I really have no sympathy for any government, for the simple reason that I don't have a shred of trust in the entire political system that is based on lies and populism from beginning to end, regardless of one ideological position or another).
