Or: “It is easy for a man to marry a man’s wife on suspicion and not to disgrace his friend in public.”

Does face-washing take place in direct debates that are held in front of everyone? After all, whoever wins the debate is thereby face-washing the side that loses the debate.
It should be noted that in this forum the situation is not symmetrical. Because everyone knows you. Compared to the rest who are anonymous. (Is it possible that because of this matter the forum’s righteous people let you win the argument? 🙂 😉 )
Is there widespread face-whitening in other games and competitions (Kurgal, chess) where the losers can be humiliated in the eyes of everyone?

I don’t see any humiliation in losing an argument. Whoever perceives it that way won’t get into an argument.
