Laws of War
The Talmud (Reish Barakhot) states that before they went to war, they consulted, among other things, the Sanhedrin;
This means that halakha has something to say about war.
My question is, where can we learn the laws of war?
Where can we get halachic guidance on such a huge issue?
This does not mean that the law has anything to say. The Sanhedrin criticizes this decision based on common sense. Therefore, there are no laws of war discussed in the Sanhedrin in this context and there is no need to study them. The guide is common sense.
And perhaps the reason why there are no laws on the subject of war is because we were not given the opportunity to discuss this subject during the entire exile (including the time of the Talmud). But there really are laws. ???
