Legumes on Passover

שו”תCategory: HalachaLegumes on Passover
asked 7 months ago

Hello Rabbi,
I have often heard that the rabbi thinks it is right not to forbid legumes on Passover (for Ashkenazim), but in practice, for various reasons (more or less good), the rabbi does not practice this.
I have a suggestion: You can start by allowing (and eating) legumes on Passover Eve after a period of abstinence.
This year, as it falls on a Saturday, it can be especially helpful.

All the best
Aaron

The train has long since left the station. See column 2.

Shalom Rabbi, but what about the opinion of the Toss and Bravo, which is based on a strict law of leaven (from the Rabbis) and not on decrees of confusion, etc.

These are strange words, since hard leaven is made from flour. It is likely that this was said as a joke in retrospect about this strange practice.
