Lesbians

Hello Rabbi.
My sister discovered that she is a lesbian, and is currently in the process of divorcing her husband, whom she married a year ago. The family is worried about her future, especially because she belongs to the ultra-Orthodox sector, where there is a complete taboo on the subject.
What is the correct teaching regarding her future cohabitation with another woman? I understood that sexual relations are forbidden by the Torah “as was the custom in the land of Egypt”… etc. Is this really a prohibition from the Torah?
Is it okay to encourage her to connect with another woman for the sake of friendship, rather than sexual relations? Or is there a fear that a friendly relationship will lead to sexual relations?
Is there something important you should tell her?
I’m asking on behalf of the family, not her name, we are in the process of digesting…
