Hello Rabbi
How are you?
I would like to ask, please. In the Torah, it says that Noah’s Ark rested on the Ararat Mountains, and in the Onkelos translation it says Tori de Kardo. I didn’t understand what the connection is between Ararat and Kardo? Ararat Mountains is the name of a place, so what does the translation mean by that?

The name of one of the two mountains of Ararat was Kidron or Cardo. See Jonathan’s Crown there: (d) And the ark rested in the seventh month, which is the month of Nisan, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat, one mountain being called Kardania, and the other mountain being called Armenia, and from there the city of Armenia was built in the land of the East:
