Liberalism – Progressives
Hello Rabbi, during a discussion, a fundamental question arose about the difference between liberalism and progressives. My intuition tends to separate them, but apart from a sociological separation (or at least there is no perfect overlap), I was unable to define the essence of each of the currents and identify the point of separation. What do you think?

These are just unimportant semantic discussions. Liberalism is a position that advocates openness and freedom, and progressiveness is progress (or advancement. Progress). From here on out, everyone puts content into each of these two concepts as they wish. These concepts are used in different ways depending on the context. Someone who sees X as progress and advocates for X will call themselves progressive. Someone who opposes X will say that this is not progress but regression. [Who opposes progress? The question in the debate is what progress is]
