Maran the Chofetz Chaim forbade taking out life insurance, what do the jurists of our time think?
I would like to ask about both life insurance and buying a lottery ticket.

My honorable opinion is that there is no problem with insurance at all. And so is Amma. Regarding the lottery, there may be a problem with reference. I am not familiar with the opinions of the modern-day adjudicators, nor am I very interested in them. You can probably find them online.
