Lighting candles in a house with two windows

Peace to Qatar

The Gemara states that a person who has two entrances must light a lamp in both of them, lest the people of his city say, “I did not light a lamp in the other one, but I did not light a lamp in the other one.”
That is, they know he has two openings and yet they still suspect him.

I wanted to ask whether it is mandatory to light a window in every wind?

Apparently yes, but they don’t follow up on it, apparently because there are no such suspicions.

Thank you – I would have thought the same, too
However, many of the poskim such as Rabbi Elyashiv and R”n Karelitz wrote that even in their time there was no obligation:

“And they wrote that it seems simple that it is precisely in a house or yard that the path that has only one opening is outside, so even if they know that here it has two openings, they will suspect him of not turning it on, but in the windows, even if he turns on the one in the window, he can turn on any light, everyone knows that in every room there are several windows to light and one to turn on, but there is no reason why they would suspect him”

And I did not understand – because according to the Gemara, it is about knowing that it has two openings, just as they know that there are several windows.

I didn't understand. I wrote my opinion. Are you asking me what they think? You should ask them that.
